My latest crafty endeavor

So I mentioned in my last post that my buddy has asked me to make her 7 month old baby girl a crocheted apple beanie hat. I found a pattern and put my own twists on it. Behold! The Craftafarian’s Crocheted Baby Apple Hat:

I was so excited to make and finish this for her. She was one of my good buddies back at Univ FL Veterinary ICU. We helped to keep each other sane, or insane. Ha. It’s shipping out Monday and I hope they love it. I purchased a special yarn so it would be nice and soft for the baby. I can make it in newborn, 3-6 months, and 6-12 months. Actually I’m pretty sure I could figure out how to make a larger one for an adult or older child. This makes me want to figure out a pumpkin beanie with ridges for October….hmmmm

Ravelry here I come! Oh if you are on ravelry you should totally friend me! Ravelry is a free site where people who knit and crochet can come together to share projects, get help, or search patterns. Its really cool.

With the jewelry I’ve sold and this hat my etsy shop will be donating $8 so far at the end of the month to Faith Hope and Love Rescue Inc. You know, I need to talk to the rescue admin about creating a blog to use as a website since that one is a Pet Finder one and doesn’t do their work justice. You can also check them out on facebook, they have two. So this one or this one.

Well I’ve got pet sitting, kennel, and check on cats type pet sitting to do today. Busy busy busy. No rest for the weary! And as I said to my friend in vet school who decided to take an elective class on the weekend:

Knowledge is power and sleep is for the weak!
